Celeb spotting

Ok, so it's a little hard not to get star struck when you see Nicole Kidman (looking for pants for Keith), Nicky Hilton (wearing the Primp shirt with hearts that I want) and Carmen Electra (she is so tiny and perfect, it's not even funny!) coming in to work, all in one week!

It's over!

They have always been Hollywoods golden couple to me and she's one of my favourite actors so it feels really sad that they decided to seperate :( Was it the she's-more-successful-than-him-syndrome that came between yet another couple? I can't wait for the juicy interviews where they "tell it all"....

Petticoat

The other day I bought this beautiful petticoat and I decided to try it with my silky gray dress. Hopefully I can find the perfect skirt/dress (any suggestions?) to go with it so I can wear it out sometime in kind of an "Carrie-esque" style :)

Finally internet is working again (it get so bad over here sometimes) and first out is a BIG THANK YOU TO MAKEUPYOURMIND!!!

I helped her buy a few things and got to know her a little (which is always nice). Then I come home one day and find a package from her in the mail:



The little sweetheart sent me a bag of Gott & Blandat (sooo my favourite candy! How did you know??) And yes it's open, what did you expect? ;) AAAND, as if that wasn't enough, she sent me something I've been looking for forever: The perfect deep purple nailpolish by Helena Rubenstein (I have been looking everywhere for it since I saw it in her blog but the brand just can't be found!) Thank you so much sweetie!

Healthy: Not as good as you might think...

I was working with a customer today and as usual somewhere in the smalltalk between what jeans makes your butt look better and that dress is so gorgeous, we were talking about that I want to be an actress (in LA the rule is: mention your career goal to EVERYBODY, you never know who can help you get there!) and she asks "you have an accent, where are you from?" Of course, everybody asks me that since appearently my accent is very noticable. I tell her I'm from Sweden and she says "I thought so, you look very healthy". Ouch!

For you who aren't familiar with Hollywoodtalk: Healthy = Fat (well, not fat fat but bigger than your regular run-in-the-mail actress)
Now I know I'm no Kate Bosworth/Nicole Richie/Rachel Bilson (nor do I wanna be, don't get me wrong) and sure I have my "fat-days" but overall I'm quite content with my body (OMG, a girl said that?? Feel free to disagree...) but let's look at the statistics; Rachel Bilson, Jessica Alba,
Scarlett Johansson and Kate Bosworth have all lost quite a bit of weight since their "big break".

People (incl. myself) might say that they're not gonna fall for peer-pressure, become a stick-figure etc. but the truth is:
Nobody wants to be considered the "healthy" one in Hollywood.

Juicy accessories

We got some new Juicy Couture accessories in at work and they're just sooo cute! My favourites are the Christmas ornaments and the umbrella that says "Shower me with couture"!

The calender/phonebook/notebook set is really sweet but I know I'd never use it, and these little cards would be cute to leave around to people ;)

Velvet on a budget? Hell yeah!

I've been looking at this little beauty for a long time but $83 is a lot of money for such a simple dress, so obviously I was thrilled to find that Wet Seal recently came out with an almost identical dress! The best part? 100% cotton (just like the Velvet one) and only $7.99 on sale!!! Need I say that I ordered one in each lovely color?

Review

A while ago I wrote about buying
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer SPF 15 and
Laura Mercier Liquid Crystal Lip Glace in the color Pink Quartz
and I remembered I promised you guys a review of the products!




First, I'm a complete glossoholic! I have at least 30 lipglosses and I wanted to try this one because it was a little diffrerent.

Promise: To make you lips look fuller by reflecting the light (not a lip-plumper!)
I think: It really does work! I love the color too, it's a light magenta with a bit of coral whick sounds really weird but it's so sheer it totally works! It's not glittery (not a big fan of glitter in lipgloss), more shimmery. The only bad thing is that it can look a little uneven if you put on too much.

This one I was really curious about cause I've never used a primer before. I never use foundation or powder so I wanted to see if it still did anything for me...

Promise: To make wrinkles less apparent and give you smooth even skin. Also has SPF 15 which is a huge plus for me as I have to wear SPF everyday.
I think: Makes skin supersoft, not oily, and gives a subtle, even glow all day long, I love it!

Still summer

It was so freakin' hot out today! I went out in a tanktop and skirt and I was sweating after 5 mins! How am I suppose to be fall-chic in 30C?? Huh?

Perfect couple no more?

So the big buzz over here right now is all about the possible soon-to-come break-up between the lovely Rachel Bilson and her cutie Adam Brody and just the fact that I (and everybody else) am writing it like that "Rachel and her man"-kinda style, is supposedly one of the problems.

Fact is, Rachel is getting offers galore to do photoshoots, movies and TV-shows as well as being praised for her sense of style and her cute personality, while Adam (who is a little more camera-shy) hasn't really gotten any offers that he feels like taking on.
Rachel is therefor considered more succesful than Adam, making more money and getting more publicity which is apparently putting a strain on the relationship.

Also, a reported bigger problem is Rach's relationship with her "Last Kiss" co-star Zach Braff. Sources say "They've become like girlfriends, they call each other almost every day and talk for hours and Rachel keeps telling Adam how mature Zach is and no guy likes his girlfriend to compare him to another guy." Ouch!

And of course, the latest thing: Rachel was spotted on what was called a "double date" with J.C Chavez together with Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake and all I can say is: If she trades Adam for freakin' I-used-to-be-the-least-know-member-in-a-90's-boyband-and-since-my -solocareer-sucked-worse-than-anything-you've-ever-seen-I-make-up-for-it-by-
dating-beautiful-famous-women-so-I-can-at-least-stay-on-the-gossip-pages-of-
"Stars"-magazine- Chavez, she'll have a world of girls against her!

Again: NOT NORMAL!

BFFs forever! (well, after a little pause...)

Once again, they really do seem to be friends again! Paris said: "I missed her. She's like my sister - we've known each other 23 years. I'm glad we can put the feud behind us. I'm really happy she's back in my life." Well, you know what? Good for them, I've lost many friends myself over the years and while I can definitely live without some of them, I really miss most of them, esp. the ones that I'd know for a long time.

So guess who walks in to work yesterday...?

This wonderful designer! I was helping him and his two girlfriends finding some stuff and I really wanted to tell him how much I loved his first dress (anyone remember that?) It had beautiful red satin bow in the back) but I didn't want to seem "unprofessional"... Oh well, he'll be back :)

No no no no no Lohan! The court rules: Go straight to your basement without passing "GO" and call Rachel Zoe immidiately! We're tired of your "style", admitting you have a problem is the first step, calling your stylist is number 2 sweetie!

So are they BFFs again? Or maybe, as the rumour mill goes over here: Were they friends all along and pulled the PR-trick of the century (with TomKat/Suri coming in on a close second place)?

Right now, Fred Segal is doing this breastcancer campaign called
"Design a cure" where designers are working witha celeb of their choice and designing a shirt (pink-themed of course!) in that celebs' style, the shirts are so cute, check them out on the website!
