Yes, she IS orange!

OMG! So yesterday, the designer of all designers walk in (not necessarily style-wise speaking, but you know who she is!); Donatella Versace!

Now, I'm used to celebs that don't make a fuss when they come in to the store, they come in regular clothes and mostly alone, maybe with a PA or something at most, well she didn't. After all, it Donatella we're talking about! She rolled up in a huuuge limo and came in with two huuuge bodyguards that wouldn't let anyone near her. Also, I've always thought she looks pretty tall and got a little more meat on her bones, but honestly, she's tiny! She's 'bout 5'3'' and almost Nicole-skinny, yeez, I do wonder where Allegra gets it...

Once a diva, always a diva

Yesterday was the first time I met an "old-time" movie star, none other then miss Lauren Bacall!
Granted, she's actually still making movies and have been for the past 60 years, including her big break "To Have and Have Not" with
Humphrey Bogart (who she married shortly after) when she was only 19 years old and "How to marry a millionaire" with Marilyn Monroe!

Needless to say I was extra excited when I saw her walk through the door, but let me tell ya...Boy, is she still a diva! These days, we'd call it a bitch btw... Don't get me wrong, it's easier to accept it when she's a legend who I admire, but I still think she could have been nicer, after all, we do get movie stars in all the time that have been treated like kings and queens for years but still manage to be perfectly polite and civilized to us "regular" people!

Crazy week!

Jeez, I've been out of it for a while now!

This weeks:

Activity: Packing up our stuff for moving + going to IKEA's website and dreaming of all the new furniture I wanna get

Celebs: Talk show-host Ricki Lake came in to work, and so did my all time favorite Reese Witherspoon, gorgeous blond as usual (even if I think she looked fantastic as a brunette as well! Should I? Shouldn't I?? Oh god, all these fab blonde's turned brunettes look amazing, but I'm scared I'd regret it!)

I didn't see it coming: DH hottie Jesse Metcalfe checking into rehab for his alcohol problem, which came as a total surprise to me! Well, in my defense, he's so hot nobody will notice that drink in his hand... At least he's taking care of it before it's too late (take notes Lindsay)

Visitor: My friend and former co-worker lifeguard, R, from Sweden! Yay, it was so good to see him again!

Filming with the stars!

Today it was time for no 2 on my list, I got up at 04.00, dressed up in my best seventies outfit, took the bus to downtown and spent the whole day on the set of Semi-Pro, a new movie about a basketball team in the 70's with
Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson and Andre 3000!!!

It was so much fun, the actors were cracking us up, we cheered, laughed and had an amazing time!
Yes, I was just an extra, and yes maybe I'm getting ridiculously excited over doing the same thing over and over again for 8 hours, but the truth is; I love the atmosphere at a movie-set, especially a big one!

I also made some great friends, 2 very nice guys from Arkansas and one of them (don't kill me Nicole) looked exactly like Adam Brody!!! OMG, they could have been twins if it wasn't for this guy, J, had darker eyes. Even similar voices for crying out loud!

Now I'm just anxious to see if we actually made it in to the movie... and I have to wait a whole year to find out!

Time for some good news!

Yay, we finally finally finally, after EIGHT LONG MONTHS of searching, calling, emailing people and looking at crap shack after crap shack, we... found... an apartment!!!

It's been insane, let me tell ya, finding a decent-sized apt that accepts pets in Santa Monica is a bitch! But yesterday, we went to look at this 1 bed/1 bath on 12th st (sooo close to the beach and 3rd st!) and it was really nice :) hardwood floors all the way (very unusual since basically everyone has carpet). walk-in-closet, huge windows and the piece de resistance: Washer and dryer in the apartment!!! Now we're spending about $20/month on laundry which might not sound like a lot but it adds up fast!

It's in a really nice neighbourhood too! Palm trees along the street and grass everywhere :)

I'm so happy! hihi!

Still here...

... but not very active :( I've just been so busy this week and I don't reall even have time to write anything now, but here's what's coming up:

1. Some good news (it finally finally happened!!!)

2. Something exciting (don't wanna jinx it by talking about it to soon)

3. People are visiting *yay*, I love when Swedish people visit :)

The perfect date

Tonight my husband surprised me by taking me out on a date! He took me to one of our favourite restaurants and then to Baskin Robbins for dessert :) Then we walked home in the 25 degree night, eating ice cream and having one of those nights where we laughed so hard we cried and just had a really nice time together! I love you hun!

Ugly Betty is beautiful!

Yup, America Ferrera came in to the store today and boy, is she gorgeous! She had no makeup on but her skin is flawless, and, she's tiny! I mean, in pictures she looks a little bigger than your average LA-star, but I guess the camera really does add 10 pounds cause she's just a little bigger than me, I'd say prob a size 4-6!

Here we go again...

So Angie filed another set of divorce papers to adopt a Vietnamese kid. Isn't it time to slow down a bit?

She has said in the past "If we're going to raise 10 kids we're going to do it while we're young" Ok, I get that, I wanna raise my kids while I'm fairly young too, but stop and think for a second there Mia Farrow, when you and you're husband are in couples therapy and you already have three kids that you move around with every 6 months or so, maybe see how it works out for a bit before throwing another baby in to the mix?

Ok, can anyone, anyone, point out what's hot about this girl??? She looks like a 65-year-old woman with fried her and too big shoes! Not to mention the more serious part, she's obviously sick, you never get well from an eating disorder, it's always there and when your shoes are wider than your legs, you need help!
