The Fred Segal sale!

Pheew! I'm sorry I've been a little absent lately, I've been so busy with my new job! Many of you have asked what it's like and how it's going and the answer is: It's wonderful, I love it and it's going great :)





Big Sale Report:

Since Thursday there has been a big sale (only happens once a year) and things are just crazy!
Thursday was a pre-sale, aka invitation only and after that, friday-Oct 4 it's all 50%off everything and after that it goes down really low, like 75% off, $20 racks and so on....

What we sell: Juicy Couture, Cashmere, Disney Vintage, Vince and more! Plus all the jeans incl. Seven, R&R, Joe's, Antik Denim, True Religion, Chip & Pepper etc.

Celeb sightings: So far,
Fred Segal himself actually showed up (he only visits like twice a year!)
Janice Dickinson's son Nathan Fields looking bored,
Mary-Kate Olsen hiding behind her signature shades,
miss Tyra Banks herself, very humble, nice and down to earth
and last but most noticeable the old rapper Juvenile and his wife Sherdonna. And man is she funny!? Not haha funny but more are-you-kidding-me? kinda funny. She went straight up to my co-worker, P, and asked "So who's the DJ in this place?"
P: "We have an Ipod and I control it" (we were all totally pretending we didn't know who they were)
S: "Well, can you put some Juvenile on?"
P: "We don't have any of his music, sorry"

She looked really pissed off and we were all laughing so hard (but hiding it of course!)
Then she wanted to try on some jeans (my section today) and the entire time she was going:
"You know who my husband is? My husband is Juvenile, you know the rapper" to everyone who would listen!
Meanwhile, Juve was sitting outside our store on a bench and this guy came up to him asking if he could take a picture and Juve held up his hand and said "I don't do that right now".

Ok, seriously, talk about "Juvenile", you were famous 10 years ago and you're still walking around all blinged out (oh yeah, he was going all out! Lots of bling, the big flashy jacket, the cap, the works!), your wife is trying to get attention by mentioning your name 40 times in a row, you won't take pics with fans, what's wrong with you?! Grow up!

Ok, so sue me!

I really have been holding off the shopping for the past couple of months but I just couldn't resist these finds!

Ooooh, I'm like 99% determined that I want to get this bag! It was definitely love at first sight and I do want it in the burgundy color that Rachel carries (god, I'm such a wannabe! But it really is my favourite!), I like the ivory one as well but a white bag just isn't practical (even if it is oh so pretty!) I really hope that Fred Segal Couture gets this one cause the I get to use my discount :) Since it's Zac Posens first line of bags it's taking sooo long for it to hit the stores, I can't wait!

No! She's NOT ok!!!

Lately I've seen a lot of bloggers writing about Kate Bosworth being too skinny and so on and there are ALWAYS someone who leaves a comment like "she's skinny but still looks natural" or "I want a body like that, she looks nice and healthy!" Urrm, excuse me??? Take one look at these pics and there's no way you can come back and say A: She looks healthy or
B: It looks natural!

Are ya kiddin' me??
I know that some people are born skinny but in those cases the body actually looks proportional and not as skeletal. Now, if you still want a body like hers, I suggest you go talk to someone and get help. I not mocking you, but I know the situation and you really do need help if this is your idea of a healthy body.

I know I've been absent for a couple of days, I've tried to focus on work (yay!) and just taking it easy since I'm starting to get a sore throat :(

Anyway, work has been just wonderful! When they first told me how much I have to sell for per day I choked a little bit but then again, until yesterday I had never seen a woman buy 4 Juicysets at once! My co-workers are all such great people and we laugh and talk while we work, something I missed at my last job where I was working alone all day.

In 2 weeks, all of Fred Segal is having their big yearly sale (they actually only have 2 sales/year but this is the biggest one and there's 50% off everything!), it's gonna get really crazy and since all the stores have this sale (oh yeah, in case you don't know, Fred Segal Santa Monica is two buildings, that each has a number of separately owned stores inside), I was thinking about doing a little shopping myself ;) I mean, 50% off everything?? Come on!!

It's not a girl!!!

Yup, Brit and that could-I-be-more-of-a-douchebag? husband of hers had their second baby last night and despite all the magazine-headlines lately, it was a boy, not a girl! Hopefully they haven't gotten too attached to their pre-picked name "Jailynn", cause I'd hate to see their baby boy being named that... Well, congrats Britney! Now just remember, being a single mom can work out great! No man is better than...oh wait, let me change that. Kevin Federline is hardly what I would call man, more like a parasite slimehead...yeah, that's more appropriate!

My new job!

So you've all been very patient (no guesses tho!) and I'm happy to tell you,
I GOT THE JOB!!!




Yup, from now on I'm an official employee of Fred Segal in Santa Monica, where the stars shop and the rich housewives go for lunch.
I'll be selling brands like Betsey Johnson, Hanky Panky, True Religion, Johnson, Juicy Couture, Havaianas and so much more!

I'm so happy I got it and I'm looking forward to working with something I love, learning more about clothes and fashion *yay*

Now I'm off to figure out what to wear on my first day :)

Job interview!

Oooh, today I'm going to a job interview and I'm so excited (and extremely nervous!!!) I won't tell you where it is until I know if I get it or not, but if I get this job, it's a BIG THING! It's definitely a place that all you fashionbabes would know the name of!

Suri has landed!

Here are the first official pics of TomKat's baby Suri, photographed by world-famous photographer Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair and I have to admit, she actually looks like she could be biological, but who knows?

He died like he lived...

Steve Irwin, a.k.a. the Crocodile Hunter was killed but a sting-ray during a diving expedition of Port Douglas in North East Australia. The sting-ray apparently jabbed it's barb through his chest and ambulance officers confirmed Steve's death. I can only suffer with his family. His wife is said trekking in Tasmania and hasn't been informed of her husbands death yet. It must be the worst feeling in the world to find out after everybody else...

Ever since I saw this picture of Nicole I've been looking for that dress and now that I found it... ooooh, well, now I want it even more!!! It's also one of my favourite pics of Nic.

Ok so the music video for K-fed's "Lose Control" is out and what can I possibly say that hasn't already been said? He's not Kanye West, he's not Justin Timberlake and I beg to differ with his own quote from the song, he's not a superstar! Also, I'm pretty sure he might have choreographed his own moves (using the word lightly since all he does is wave his hand, and make a yeah-bitches-I-made-it-I'm-in-your-lives-and-y'all-gonna-have-to-listen-to-me faces )

This little no good father of four (oh yes, the unborn one counts as he should be by his wife's side) who in the past gave us brilliant lyrics such as "I want to see your kitty and a little bit of titty" says he's very proud of his video and that he's the next big thing to hit the hip-hop market!
